Vitrual Reality tools which helps BIM users has been launched by Autodesk

Autodesk has recently launched a new VR (virtual reality) tool called Autodesk Workshop XR that provides an immersive design review experience for the AEC industry. The tool allows multiple users to explore design models in real-time using Meta virtual headsets, and offers the ability to flag and update issue items. Multiple BIM users will be able to track clash issues, catch modeling errors, and can explore working BIM MEP & F models linked to the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) in a seamless environment. The tool offers no-prep model loading, synced issue tracking, and automatically connected data from ACC.

virtual reality (VR) tools can be used with point cloud services. Point cloud services typically involve creating, managing, and analyzing large sets of 3D data points representing the geometry of physical objects or environments.

Autodesk Workshop XR was launched at the Autodesk University expo on November 13th, where Cadeosys BIM team experienced a live demo. Currently, the software is exclusively available to the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3 headsets 21. However, Autodesk has not ruled out expanding the tool to other headset brands in the future. Autodesk has recently launched a new software program called Autodesk Forma that integrates automation and AI (artificial intelligence)-powered insights to streamline the investigation of Arch, MEP design concepts, which helps control repetitive tasks, and also evaluate eco-friendly qualities surrounding a building site, which gives architects time to focus on creative solutions. The tool is designed to enhance the applicability of BIM services in various LOD and design types, such as conceptual design (CD), structural design (SD), interactive brickwork design, green building design (LEED), and adaptive facade design, MEP & F services.
