MEP Design, BIM and Drafting Services
We provide every aspect from concept drawing, schematic drawing, design drawing stage, tender stage. We not only take-up MEP design and drafting services, we also help in MEP design services as per local building code and do heat load | cooling load calculations according to building zone with ASHRAE Standards.
All kind of detail Drawing MEP Services like
MEP BIM coordination services
Design & Drafting Services in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting
Design & BIM Services
Produce permit set drawings
The design process includes
Reading and understanding the contract and Arch set: It is crucial to read and comprehend the contract and architectural drawings in order to understand the project's scope of work and plan how to proceed with the design.
Developing mechanical permit drawing set: Proficient in developing mechanical permit drawing sets, including following design stages such as Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents, and submitting completed drawing sets for review and permit approval by the relevant authorities.
Construction Administration: This involves addressing plan reviewer comments, issuing bulletin drawings, responding to requests for information (RFIs), accommodating architectural changes, and reviewing contractor submittals.
MECHANICAL
Schematic Design (SD)
Code study: IMC, IECC, IBC, EBC, ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1 & 62.2
Preliminary ventilation study and load study using Ashrae handbook table 12.1 and IMC table 403.3.1.1 at the schematic design level.
Suggest possible HVAC equipment type and possible location of the units.
Note down the point to discuss and critical design questions and data needed to proceed to the next stage of design.
Schedule a meeting and discuss the design with the client and conclude on the critical design questions and other dependencies
Design Development (DD)
Do complete thermal load calculations using the right suite of software
Select appropriate HVAC equipment. And place the equipment over the approved location.
Draft the duct layout and schedule all the equipment and add general and plan not and set the sheets using Revit software.
Add details, general notes, and specifications to the sheet.
Submit the developed design set to the client for review.
Construction Document (CD)
Produce the final drawing set.
Add energy compliance certificate using COMcheck if required.
Stamp the drawings and submit them to AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) for review.
Construction Administration
Any architectural drawing changes and review comments from the AHJ will be addressed, and necessary changes in the design will be made, and submit the drawing to AHJ as Bulletin drawings.
Submittal review: after the permit is issued and before starting the construction, the contractor is supposed to submit the spec sheets of the equipments, grilles, etc., they are going to buy or use for the project to the EOR (Engineer Of Record) for review. If the submitted equipment satisfies and aline with what is specified on the latest submitted contract drawing, the submittal will be approved, or it will be approved with some notes or will be asked to revise and resubmit the submittal.
RFI: during the construction phase, there may be some additional information or clarification required by the contractor from the design consultant to complete the construction of the mechanical systems. We will be scheduling a meeting or addressing the RIF through an RFI letter with proper clarification and direction to the contractor.
ELECTRICAl
Schematic Design (SD)
Code study: Includes the identification of applicable local (City or county code of ordinances), and International codes (National Electrical Code, International Building Codes & Energy Codes). Studying applicability of above mentioned codes related to the Project.
Preliminary Service Load Calculation: Includes preliminary service calculation based on NEC standards with available electrical load details. The intention of this design phase is to have a rough idea on the service requirement, and service equipment infrastructure preliminary plannings.
Primary Planning for Electrical Layouts : This includes laying electrical plans and proposing code required outlets (we provide code minimum outlets, and outlets equipment specified locations. Further outlet requirement to be marked on SD meeting), and light fixture controls (fixture control locations to be finalized in an SD meeting) etc.
SD Meeting: Arrange a meeting with the client and discuss the design questions, and markdown dependencies to complete the design.
Design Development (DD)
This phase includes the development of the design to a 70-90% set.
Submit the developed design set to the client for review.
Follow up on the dependencies per SD meeting.
Construction Document (CD)
All the dependencies shall be cleared before promising a construction document set.
CD Set is the 100% developed design set which includes ready to stamp electrical drawing with standard details, Lighting compliance certificates, and city checklists (if required).
Construction Administration
Addressing architectural changes, AHJ Review comments after submission, and resubmitting revised drawings to clients as Bulletin sets.
Submittal review: Technical review of the submittals from contractors including Equipment, and light fixtures etc prior to beginning of construction.
RFI: Additional information requests will be addressed through professional letters during construction.
Plumbing
Domestic Cold & Hot Water Supply & Return.
In Drainage Services we provide Soil Pipe Solution, Waste Water Solution, Vent Layout Etc.
Schematic Design (SD)
Code study: IPC, IFGC, IECC, IBC, EBC, ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 ADA STANDARDS
Find and research on applicable local codes and standards for designing the plumbing system. This is to make sure that we don’t violate any of the local codes, laws or standards while designing the system.
Preliminary load calculation for sizing of water supply using the WSFU values. This includes sizing of water meter and sizing of main distribution piping.
Preliminary load calculation for sizing of sanitary/vent system using the DFU values. This includes the sizing of main building lateral and vent through roof sizing.
Preliminary load calculation for sizing gas service using the pressure available, approximate length of the piping, total equipment load (CFH or BTU/HR).
Preliminary sizing of water heaters, booster pump, sump pumps if applicable.
Note down the point to discuss and critical design questions and data needed to proceed to the next stage of design.
Schedule a meeting and discuss the design with the client and conclude on the critical design questions and other dependencies to move forward to DD
